Private Sector Partners Offer Valuable Help in 2023

Long-standing partnerships with companies and foundations are a key pillar of Caritas's support for people in need.

Assuming social responsibility in society has become a practiced commitment for many national and international corporations and foundations. Partners from the private sector make sustainable contributions to improving the lives of disadvantaged children, families in need, single parents, displaced persons, people with disabilities, and those requiring care.

In times of inflation and rising poverty among the population, Caritas has been able to rely on dependable - often long-standing - partners who have been ready to provide immediate and effective support, not only in the short term but also in the medium and long term. This cooperation has frequently been recognized and awarded.

Since 2009, the joint project "VERBUND Electricity Assistance Fund with Caritas" has been supporting households at risk of poverty in the area of energy. These households receive direct and sustainable assistance through measures that reduce energy consumption and thus alleviate energy poverty. The project assists people in their daily lives, precisely where the increase in everyday costs causes financial difficulties.
