How Private Sector Partners Delivered Critical Support in 2024
Established partnerships with companies and foundations are a cornerstone in Caritas' support to people in need. Embracing social responsibility in society has become a firmly established practice for many national and international businesses and foundations. Private sector partners contribute sustainably to improving the lives of disadvantaged children, families in crisis, single parents, displaced persons, people with disabilities, and those in need of care.
In times of rising prices and growing poverty, Caritas has been able to rely on committed — often long-standing — partners who offered timely and reliable support across immediate, mid-, and long-term needs. This collaboration is often acknowledged through awards and public recognition.

For many years, Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein has been one of Caritas’ most valued corporate partners. In 2025, the company is once again supporting the Caritas children’s campaign, helping children in crisis situations around the world — especially in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to this campaign, Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein is also contributing to children’s projects in Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and the Republic of Moldova in 2025. Standing Together in Times of Crisis and Disaster
In 2024, Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein celebrated its 200th anniversary — warmest congratulations from Caritas. A company with such a long history has weathered many storms. Through its partnership with Caritas, it has consistently supported people in need during times of crisis and disaster — whether in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, or devastating floods. In addition, employees volunteer at Caritas facilities as part of the company’s Social Active Day.
